Game of Thrones is nearing it’s end.
Co-creator David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed the global phenomenon’s future to ‘Deadline.’
“It’s two more seasons we’re talking about. We talked about doing this in 70-75 hours.”
The news has left fans speculating that due to the show only having 13-15 hours left, seasons seven and eight will contain fewer episodes than the current 10 per season.
The news comes after the explosive season six finale that resulted in the highest ratings for the show; a whopping 8.9 million viewers after the Sunday night premier in the U.S.
If you haven’t caught up with the series you may not want to read on.
Thrones producers stated that they wanted to create one story containing a beginning, middle and end.
“Daenerys is finally coming back to Westeros; Jon Snow is king of the North and Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne. The pieces are on the board now and we are heading toward the end game.”
